Privacy PolicyYour privacy is important to us. Sorry if this page is so
short, but all that you need to know is that we will never, ever share your
contact details with ANY site or organization. We hate SPAM and uninvited sales
agents as much as you do.
We didn't find you, you found us. That's the way it
should be, plain and simple. Your information is kept behind lock and key and
you can be confident in your information never being shared, sold or
redistributed.
We do not actively police the web sites that we host.
Nor are we required to by law under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act
Please
take the time to familiarize yourself with this important legislation. Important
highlights of this act protect online service providers as well as site owners
and operators for publishing "questionable" content provided by third
parties.
In Layman's terms, if an arbitrary individual found your website
on the Internet, and were to post information, for example, on your public
forums, and that content was deemed against the law, you cannot be held
accountable or penalized as a site operator or owner. If this important act did
not exist, every time a fraudster (or otherwise unscrupulous person) found a way
on to your website and posted something that was not supposed to be there, YOU
could be held legally responsible and so could your web hosting company. It is
obviously impossible to police every page of every website every day, and this
legislation protects your freedoms to live your every day life and still be able
to operate a website without fear of legal persecution for a simple accident or
absence from administration of your website. Imagine going on vacation and
returning to find your forums filled with illegal advertisements for illicit
drugs or credit card numbers or defaming content. Obviously in due time you
would likely remove this content, however without this legislation, you could go
to jail, face fines and other penalties for something that was out of your
immediate and direct control. Please protect your freedoms and and keep careful
eye on future developments on section 230 of the Communications Decency
Act.
Please note that Bandus is not qualified to make legal
opinions or guidance to the general public or individuals, however this is our
current interpretation of Section 230.
We do not censor or remove
sites. Bandus
guarantees that we will uphold your rights granted to you under the
United States Constitution. Freedom of Speech is paramount and US law
still protects your First Amendment Rights. This guarantee ensures your
ability to exercise your First Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech
guaranteed under the United States Constitution. It is the end-user's
responsibility to ensure they are in compliance with US and or
International laws. Your site will never be shut down for content
deemed "inappropriate" by Bandus or other third parties or activist
groups. Law-enforcement itself is the only entity that could have an
impact on your web site status and section 230 of the Communications
Decency Act grants Bandus immunity at the federal level from being
legally required to monitor, edit, or censor web sites hosted on our
interactive computer services. Read more about your First Amendment Rights in recent case law
Privately Registered Domains can shield your identity.
If you would like to learn more on how to anonymously register your
domain name to protect your registration information from being publicly
disclosed (which is the registry default), we suggest using our "Domains by
Proxy" partnership. This allows you to register a name privately so your contact
information is not disclosed to public WHOIS databases. Keep your identity
private from those who do not need to know your important contact information.
